recipeThe natural ingredient bounty bar!

Bounty bars without refined sugar, quick in preparation and simple natural ingredients is my absolute favorite go to snack! Unquestionably making them with natural ingredients that you can get in any nearest supermarket is an absolute game changer. In fact natural ingredients make this light meal understandable. Moreover already looking at the ingredients you know that your body will get a healthy snack. Without a doubt it is great if you want to stop consuming refined sugar and get used to natural sweetness.

Sugar free chocolate or just dark chocolate?

To make this recipe absolutely refined sugar free I made this recipe with sugar free chocolate. Nevertheless you can use any chocolate of your choice, but then the bounty bar is not going to be sugar free. In brief if you want to eat less refined sugar and cannot find sugar free chocolate I recommend using dark chocolate. It is lower in sugar than milk chocolate. 100 g of dark chocolate contains on average around 26 g of sugar, whereas milk chocolate contains 59 g of sugar. Summing up look for dark chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa. For example dark chocolate with 50% cocoa contains 41 g of sugar per 100 g and chocolate with 70% cocoa contains 28 g of sugar. Finally dark chocolate with 90% cocoa contains only 7g of sugar per 100g.

How to make homemade bounty bars?

Basically you start with blending dates, grated coconut and a small amount of oat milk in a blender. Then you tightly press the mixture into the form. Next you cut it and, without removing it from the form, put it in the freezer for 1 hour. Finally carefully separate into strips and dip into melted chocolate.

How to make bounty candy?

Without a doubt if you prefer bounty candy, you can easily make a bounty candy using this recipe. First soak dates, drain the water, blend them, add grated coconut and oat milk. Blend again. Second press into the form and cut into the size of bounty candies. Freeze for 1 hour and dip every coconut candy into melted chocolate. Third let them chill in the fridge. In brief, 10-15 minutes are enough. Take bounty candies out of the fridge and enjoy! All the measurements and details are below.

Are homemade bounty bars healthy?

Homemade bounty bars are definitely healthier than store bought bounty. To demonstrate the amount of sugar you get in 1 store bought bounty bar is around 27g. On the contrary 1 bounty made with this recipe contains 4g sugar. What’s more the sugar in homemade bounty bars comes from natural ingredients: dates and grated coconut. Whereas sugar in store bought bounty bars comes from added sugar. In fact it is the first ingredient on the bounty ingredient list. Except for this the ingredients in homemade recipes are natural and do not contain glucose syrup, emulsifiers and added flavors in comparison to store bought bounty bars or candies.

Is coconut good for weight loss?

Eating coconut can help with weight loss, if you follow some simple rules.

First, coconut contains healthy fats. Healthy fats are great to feel full for a longer period of time. On the other hand, coconut is high in calories, so it is important to control the amount of coconut you consume.

Second coconut is full of fiber, which also adds a feeling of fullness and helps to prevent constipation. This makes you feel light and good in your body, which contributes to the general wish to eat healthy food and feel great.

Finally coconut also contains natural sugar and that is why desserts, bars and cakes with coconut are great healthy substitutes for store-bought sweets. Sweets with coconut are healthier than desserts, cakes, bars and candies that contain refined sugar. The fact that they are rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber makes them healthier and great for weight loss.

As I have noted, enjoy coconut for weight loss, but control the amount of it to not add up too many calories.

More healthy snacks low in sugar?

If you want to enjoy healthy desserts, bars and cakes, but reduce the amount of sugar you consume, I have a lot of recipes for you. To make a low calorie chocolate bar you need just a few ingredients. The bar is low sugar, because it is made with dark chocolate. In fact you get an absolutely delicious bar low in sugar and low in calories. What about starting your day with chocolate granola Only 3 ingredients and 20 minutes of your time and you can prepare a base for healthy and delicious breakfast for the next few weeks.
