Oreo cheesecake: simple ingredients & loads of protein

For oreo cheesecake you need simple ingredients and it tastes amazing. For the cheesecake layer I am using quark cheese, which has a lot of protein and that is why it keeps you full for hours, even if you do not care about working out and eating enough protein. I am adding some oreo cookies to give it an oreo flavor and that is why you do not need any refined sugar. If you do not have any quark cheese, just substitute it with greek yogurt – it will also work. The base layer is super crunchy and is made out of rusks, dates, almond butter and cocoa powder. If you prepare this dessert in advance – keep both (base layer and cheesecake layer) in the fridge and layer before eating. It is an amazing afternoon snack that keeps you full for hours.

If you are a big fan of desserts that are done quickly, check my high protein dessert with raspberries and melted chocolate or edible brownie batter – done in 5 minutes and full of chocolate flavor – also rich in protein.

Ingredients

  • 260 g quark cheese substitute for greek yogurt, if you do not have it
  • 18 g cream cheese
  • 30 g oreo cookies
  • 14 g rusks
  • 24 g dates
  • 4 g cocoa powder
  • 2 g almond butter

Instructions

To prepare the base:

  • Crush in a blender: 14 g of rusks, 24 g of dates, 4 g of cocoa powder and 2 g of almond butter. Crush until crumbs are formed.

To prepare cheesecake layer:

  • Mix 260 g of quark cheese (substitute for greek yogurt, if you do not have it) with 18 g of cream cheese.
  • Cut 30 g of oreo cookies into small pieces and mix with quark – cream cheese mixture.
  • Create oreo cheesecake in a glass: put a cheesecake layer in a glass, cover with a base layer, then cheesecake layer again and base layer.
  • If you want to mealprep this recipe and want to make several servings, the best is to create base layer and cheesecake layer and store them separately and prepare the dessert before eating (it takes only 1 minute). Store the cheesecake layer in the refrigerator and base layer at room temperature.
