Tiramisu cups – low in calorie & great in taste!
Tiramisu, that is low calorie and full of taste is an absolute game changer! The reason why this recipe has lower calories than regular tiramisu dessert is because of swapping Savoiardi cookies for rusks (which also tastes great) and dipping them into coffee-amaretto mixture to keep the taste. Tiramisu cream is made out of mascarpone, greek yogurt, egg whites and maple syrup – it turns very light, fluffy and incredibly delicious. A regular tiramisu cup contains more than 600 calories BUT the calories in this recipe are 3 times lower. This is great, if you want to keep eating your favorite food, do not want to restrict yourself and reach your toned body goals.
Check my healthy desserts recipes – a lot of them are under 100 calories, full of taste and can be prepared very quickly. If you struggle to eat healthy filling lunches or dinner, check my savory recipes here and save calories but not the taste.

Ingredients
- 12 rusks
- 2 shots of espresso
- 10 g Amaretto
Cream
- 4 egg whites
- 400 g greek yogurt 10% fat
- 120 g mascarpone
- 60 g maple syrup
- cocoa powder
- a pinch salt
Instructions
- Put 4 egg whites into a clean and dry bowl* and add a pinch of salt. Beat egg whites and salt with a mixer to soft peaks. In another bowl, mix 400 g of greek yogurt (10% fat), 120 g of mascarpone and 60 g of maple syrup with a spoon and beat with a mixer for a few minutes.
- Carefully add whites to the cream: do not add all egg whites at once – add ⅓ and mix softly in one direction, then add again ⅓ and mix and finally add all egg whites.
- In a separate bowl add 10 g of amaretto to 2 shots of espresso. Break 12 rusks into pieces (not too small, just break one rusk into 4 pieces) and dip them shortly in espresso-amaretto mixture. Spread the cream into the glasses* then add rusks, then again cream and rusks and cream. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top.

Tips
*To beat egg whites to soft peaks it is very important to use a clean and dry bowl and mixer – if not, egg whites could turn liquidy.
*It is convenient to spread the cream using a pastry bag, but you can also use a spoon.
