Cilantro lime rice - quick rice recipe that is not boring and tastes amazing

Cilantro lime rice is a great rice recipe, if you are bored of regular rice because it adds a great flavor of lime.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g of brown rice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 500 g of water
  • Zest 1 lime 1 tsp*
  • 15 g lime juice
  • 15 g cilantro
  • optional: 1 tbsp olive oil to make rice fluffy

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice at least 5 times until the water is clean. Add the washed and drained rice to the boiling salted water (½ tsp salt)*. After boiling add 1 tbsp of olive oil (this is optional, only if you want to have fluffy rice, not sticky rice) stir, reduce the temperature to the minimum, cover and cook for 30-35 minutes without opening the lid. Quickly open, try the rice on readiness, close the lid. Set aside and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  • Open and mix gently with a fork.
  • Add zest of one lime*, 15 g of lime juice and 15 g of cilantro to the rice.
