recipeEasy to make, great for mealprep and awesome in taste!

Feta tomato pasta is one of my favorite dishes. In fact, it is perfect for multiple occasions. First of all if you know, you have guests coming and want to prepare something, where you are 100% sure it will work. Second, it is great, if you want to cook for a week, take it to work or warm up at home. Third, it is amazing, if you come home tired and need a dinner for yourself or the whole family: you can prepare all the ingredients in 2 minutes and place feta with all ingredients for baking in the oven. In the meantime you can cook pasta and just relax.

Pasta type to use

Evidently, you can use any pasta you like in this recipe. But there are some advantages of certain pasta types. Short pasta types make a dish non-sticky and it is easier to warm up. But if you are a big fan of long pasta types, like spaghetti or tagliatelle, you can use them too.

What are the health benefits of whole wheat pasta?

First of all you can use regular pasta or whole wheat pasta. I definitely recommend eating more whole wheat pasta.

The reason for this is that whole wheat pasta is richer in nutrients and minerals. Due to the complex carbohydrates you consume eating whole wheat pasta, you feel fuller for a longer period of time. Complex carbohydrates take longer to digest and contain fiber. Following whole wheat pasta has a very positive effect on your digestive system and helps to stabilize blood sugar level.

Can I use regular pasta and still eat healthy?

On the other hand, you can still use regular pasta and eat healthy.
In case you do not like the taste of whole wheat pasta, go for regular pasta. In any case, you can add fiber and nutrients combining pasta with side dishes. Without a doubt, the best side dishes to add more fiber, vitamins and nutrients are roasted, grilled or steamed vegetables, mushrooms, salads and beans and lentils.
