Healthy peanut butter and jelly toast: no refined sugar & healthy ingredients.

Healthy peanut butter and jelly toast is a favorite snack, which is really easy to make. You just need a toast, peanut butter and jelly you can make in 10-15 minutes. The jelly in this toast really makes the difference, because it does not contain any refined sugar and is made out of healthy ingredients. The jelly is made with frozen blueberries, water and chia seeds. Chia seeds and water create a jelly-like structure – you just need to mix it and give it some time. Chia seeds will absorb the water and get bigger. I used frozen blueberries, but you can use any fruit or berries you like – just mash it with a fork, add chia and water and give it some time to form a jelly structure.

I really like using frozen berries, but you can also use fresh berries. The peanut butter that comes on the toast is high in protein itself. Check the ingredients on the package – all nut butters should contain only nuts and sometimes oil. There are a lot of products that contain sugars or flavors, but a healthy nut butter should mainly consist of nuts.

If you are on your fit journey and count an amount of protein you consume – this toast is a perfect snack. It contains a lot of protein and is perfect before or after the workout.

Healthy recipes low in sugar and at the same time delicious are an absolute game changer – check my banana chips recipe – one serving under 130 calories, no refined sugar and so crispy outside and chewy inside. Or Oreo ice cream – homemade ice cream, still delicious but healthier ingredients.
