Crunchy pasta for chips lovers

What can be better than a combination of pasta and chips? Pasta chips! Crunchy pasta, covered in parmesan cheese and spices is my favorite salty snack. The recipes seems to be pretty simple, but there are still some things, you have to consider. The most important thing about this recipe is to pick the right pasta. I tried penne, tagliatelle and other pasta types, but it did not work out. The disadvantage if tagliatelle , penne and other types of thick pasta is, that they do not bake through. The recipe works perfectly with ribbon pasta – it is essential to use a thin type of pasta – it bakes through really well and becomes crunchy.

To make chips rich in flavor I chose parmesan and spices. If you like really spicy chips add some chili. In addition if you like some very special flavor like onions or garlic, just add it on top. One more aspect to consider for this recipe to get perfect is stirring. Once you put the chips into the oven, do not forget to stir the chips from time to time. This is really important for all pasta to get crunchy not only the bottom layer.

Check my healthy food swaps – crispy homemade fries which taste incredibly delicious and consist of simple ingredients or healthy pancake with melted chocolate sauce.
